Mattia Stenico Triumphs in Season Debut at Verona MTB International

In a spectacular return to the competitive scene, Mattia Stenico, representing Team Fratelli Giorgi and sponsored by Pepi’s Tire Noodle, claimed victory in the junior category at the first round of the Coupe Italia Bike de VTT held at Parco delle Colombare in Verona.

Despite challenging conditions brought about by heavy rain prior to the race, the Trentino native showcased his prowess by swiftly establishing a commanding lead right from the start. Negotiating the treacherous terrain with finesse, Stenico maintained an impressive pace throughout the race.

Clocking in at 1 hour and 3 minutes, Stenico crossed the finish line triumphantly, securing a remarkable victory. His stellar performance placed him twenty-three seconds ahead of the reigning world cyclocross champion, Stefano Viezzi of Work Service, and thirty-two seconds ahead of Tommaso Bosio from Ciclistica Trevigliese.

Stenico’s return to the top step of the podium marks a promising start to the season, setting the stage for an exciting journey ahead in the world of mountain biking.
